Fraser Health's START Team (formerly known as Child and Youth Crisis Program)

Provides urgent mental health assessment and crisis intervention services to children and youth (ages 6 to 18) experiencing a mental health crisis and their families.

The START Team provides in-community services to these youth and families who need urgent help. Our services are focused on the individual needs of the young person, are family-centred, and focus on building strengths and coping strategies to deal with difficulties and help prevent future crises.

Hours: Monday to Friday - 9 am to 9 pm; Weekends and Holidays - Noon to 9 pm

Child and Youth Mental Health

Child and Youth Mental Health provides a range of treatment options for children, youth (0-18 yrs) and their families. Programs are designed to support children and youth who are experiencing significant difficulties related to their thoughts, feelings and behaviours. To learn more about CYMH services, please attend the walk-in intake screening clinic on Tuesdays from 9:00 am – 4:00 pm. No appointment necessary.

Kelty Resource Centre

The Kelty Mental Health Resource Centre offers information, resources, and peer support on a wide range of mental health and substance use issues affecting children and youth, including depression, anxiety, attention deficit, behavioural problems, eating disorders, substance use, and more. In addition to information and resources, youth can speak to a youth peer support worker who has been through similar challenges
