Today was a great day for the AYC! For Pink Shirt Day our staff team went out to two local middle schools and led the youth in a kindness activity – leaving the school with an art project created by their students - - - AND conveying a positive message at the same time!
Today, I got to leave my office and go out and interact with youth in the community. That is super rare these days! Today, I got to remember what it was like to be a Youth Worker ;) Today, I was reminded of why we do what we do here at the AYC. In everything that we do we are making an impact on youth and that is worth every – single – long hour that I spend at my desk making sure that all of these wonderful programs and projects are possible. Today, was a great day!
