FoodSafe (14 - 18 yrs)
This level one course is for service front line workers such as bus persons, servers, dishwashers and cooks. Foodsafe certificate provided with successful completion.
Ages: 14-18
Cost: $80
When:
**Please bring: a lunch, a pen or pencil, and a water bottle
Babysitter's Course (11 - 15 yrs)
This Red Cross program will teach you the skills to care for infants to school aged children and help you become a responsible babysitter. Certificate provided upon completion.
Ages: 11-15
Cost: $65
When:
**Please bring: A doll or teddy bear to practice diapering with, lunch, and a water bottle.
Soup with Seniors Volunteering
Date: Friday February 6th,
Time: 2:30PM - 6:00PM
Location: Matsqui Recreation Centre (Seniors Centre)
Cost: $10 / person. – complete the whole event and receive a $10 gift card.
Ages: 12-18
Come volunteer with the AYC at our Soup with Seniors Event. The AYC is hosting a meal with the 55+ group at the MRC Seniors Centre. Volunteers will get the wonderful opportunity to help prepare a meal, serve soup, and connect with the 55+ group throughout this intergenerational event. Come gain volunteer hours in a supportive, inclusive environment and help make a positive difference in your community!
There will be a short volunteer training before the event, followed by event set up, dinner and clean-up.

Youth Night (12 - 16 yrs)
Youth Night is an eight week recreation program for youth 12-16. Every week youth have the opportunity to try a new active, social, and healthy activity in a lively and supportive group atmosphere. Activities vary by season, but often include minigolf, laser tag, bowling, martial arts, and more!
Youth Night (tuesday) - $50
Tuesdays, 7:00 PM - 8:30 PM, January 20 - March 10
Youth Night (THURSDAY) - $50
L.E.A.D.
L.E.A.D. (Lead, Explore, And Develop) is a 5-week program where youth take on planning and implementing a BC Youth Week event for the first week of May.
With fun team-building games and activities, LEAD members will build self-confidence, create positive life skills and develop a sense of responsibility to the community.
Dates:
Time: 4:30 PM - 5:30 PM
Cost: $50
For grades: 9-12 (ages 14 - 18)

FOCUS – A Mental Health and Resilience group
Ages (Ages 13-16)
Dates: Wednesdays, January 21 to March 4, 2026 - ARC Youth Centre
Time: 5:45pm-7pm
Cost: $40
FOCUS is a mental health group where youth have an opportunity to engage in a set of 7 workshops which explore a variety of different topics including resilience, emotions and feelings, coping strategies, stress, and self care.
