Summer Day Camps
Summer at AYC is packed with camps, free drop-in, open gym, leadership programs, volunteer opportunities, and weekly activities for youth ages 12–18!
Youth can spend the summer getting involved through half-day camps, Summer Quest, Canada Day Crew, Youth Give Back, free drop-in at ARC Youth Centre, and more. From water games and outdoor adventures to creative projects, strategy games, sports, and leadership experiences, there’s something happening all summer long.
Our FREE Summer Drop-In Youth Centre runs Monday–Friday from 12:00PM–4:30PM at ARC Youth Centre, along with Open Gym every Tuesday and Thursday. Youth can also register in a half-day camp and stay afterward for free at the youth centre until 4:30PM.
We’re excited to continue creating a safe, fun, and welcoming space where youth can build friendships, gain confidence, try new things, and stay connected throughout the summer.

Free Drop-in
Our youth centre at ARC is open all summer long! With a different set of themed activities each week, free snacks, games, crafts, sports, and hangout spaces, there is always something fun happening at the youth centre. Youth ages 12–18 can drop in Monday–Friday from 12:00PM–4:30PM throughout the summer. We also offer FREE Open Gym every Tuesday and Thursday from 3:15PM–4:30PM where youth can play basketball, soccer, badminton, nine square, and more!

Life Skills Courses
FoodSafe Courses
Ages (14–18yrs)
Cost: $80
This FoodSafe Level 1 course teaches youth the basics of food safety, food handling, and workplace health standards. This certification is great for youth interested in working in restaurants, cafés, and other food service settings. Certificate provided upon successful completion.

Notes:
Please bring a pen or pencil, lunch, snacks, and a water bottle. FoodSafe certificates will be available for pickup at our office after successful completion of the course.

Red Cross Babysitter’s Course
Ages (11–15yrs)
Cost: $65
This Red Cross program teaches youth how to care for infants to school-aged children while building confidence, leadership, and responsibility skills. Youth will learn basic child care, safety, and emergency response skills. Certificate provided upon completion.
