Bev Olfert, Executive Director
 Bev Olfert has been involved with the AYC for many years. She started at the AYC as a volunteer, later she worked as a program coordinator and in 2003 she was hired as the Executive Director. Before coming to the AYC, Bev worked in various programs serving children, youth and families at Abbotsford Community Services.
These days Bev spends most of her time writing emails, going to meetings and generally looking after the day to day functioning of the AYC. When she is not at work she enjoys travelling, spending sunny days in the great outdoors, and working on projects in her brand new craft room.
Bev is always looking for suggestions about programs and services that could be useful in the community. Come on in and have a chat . . . bring coffee – she likes that ;)

Krista Bryde,
Supervisor of Recreation & Events
 Krista Bryde, Supervisor of Recreation & Events has worked at the Abbotsford Youth Commission since 2001 and loves her job! Krista began working with youth in 1995 and has worked with the City of Port Moody, Disney Cruise Line, and the Langley & Burnaby School Districts. A favorite aspect of Krista’s position with the AYC is the chance to meet and connect with youth and to hear what’s going on in their lives. Krista has a passion for helping people, and being surrounded by like-minded individuals and is happy that she gets to work with such a great team at the AYC.
Krista is married and has two sweet little boys. In what free time she has - she has a passion for traveling to tropical destinations, being outside on sunny days and spending time with family and friends. Her door is always open at the AYC and loves to meet new people - please stop by!
 Kris Bodner, Administrative Assistant
Kris(ta) Bodner has a passion for helping people, which makes working at the Abbotsford Youth Commission as the Administrative Assistant and Recreation Leader a great fit. She joined the Abbotsford Youth Commission in the Spring of 2007, and after an extended holiday in 2009 has returned; She is very excited to be back in her old position.
In her free time Kris makes beaded jewelry, and enjoys shopping and reading. She also appreciates the great outdoors while hiking, canoeing and camping.
Kris is looking forward to another great year at the Abbotsford Youth Commission and is eager to put all of her new ideas into her work. Kris enjoys meeting new people, so feel free to come by for a chat, or to get information about our upcoming programs!
