Red Cross Babysitter Training Course
12 – 15 yrs

Learn how to interview for a babysitting job, choose safe and age-appropriate games and toys, perform basis first aid, learn diapering and feeding techniques, handle bedtime issues, learn tips for having a safe babysitting experience and more.

Food Safe - Level 1
12 – 18yrs

Become a qualified Food Safe Server and be better prepared for employment. The Level 1 course is for food service front-line workers such as buspersons, servers, dishwashers, and cooks. When you pass the final exam, you will be registered in the BC Centre for Disease Control database and you will receive a FOODSAFE certificate.

Girls Zone

Join our leaders for a fun packed three days. Make Hemp Jewelry, Learn how to play Dance Dance Revolution like a pro and enjoy a spa / pamper day at our youth centre. Note: You might want to sign up for one of our regular Thursday Out-Trips.

Join our leaders for a fun packed three days. Note: You might want to sign up for one of our regular Thursday Out-Trips.

Art in Focus

Have fun with Digital Photography this summer Take home prints each day. A CD of all your photo’s will be included for your digital portfolio. You must bring your own digital camera to the workshop.

Summer Youth Zone
12-18 yrs

Drop in and check us out all summer at the Abbotsford Youth Commission. Come meet new friends, hang out with some old ones and try some of our weekly out-trips and activities. Out-trips may include: Swimming, Rollerblading, Horseback Riding, Playland, Waterslides, Paintball and more.

Out-trip Cost: ($10.00-$50.00)

The Summer Youth Zone is a drop in program geared towards youth ages 12-18. Jodi, Kyle and Danielle are excited to staff this year's program and look forward to a fun filled summer of events. Come check us out and get involved with other youth from our community. Make new friends, enjoy what we have to offer, and make your summer an interesting one!

Movie Madness Monday (11-5PM)

As the name implies we will be watching the latest and greatest, as well as all time favorites. Popcorn and drink are included. The only fee will be on the days we head out to a local theatre to see a matinee. Meet at AYC for a great day of relaxation, laughter and
fun!

Toonie Tuesday BBQ & Sports Day (11-5PM)

Just 2 bucks will get you a hotdog and pop, as well as a day of fun filled activities. Come to AYC to check out all the commotion.

Wet Wednesday (11-5PM)

Every Wednesday we will be heading out to a local pool for swimming and water games. Bring just $2.25, sunscreen, water, swimsuit and lunch to enjoy the sun and water with us.

Out-Trip Thursday (Times May Vary)

Every Thursday we will be doing various trips out of town. The cost varies between $5-27. Permission forms and advanced sign-up are a must!

Freaky Friday (11-5PM)

Fridays are Wacky games day. This is a free day of fun sports, games and activities at
AYC. Enjoy our in-house facilities like the pool table, air hockey, foosball, DDR, PS2,
basketball and ping pong as well as fun activities like game tournaments and water fights.
Bring a change of clothes just in case.
