Do you want to make a difference in your community? Do you have ideas about changes & improvements in our city that can make it a better place for youth? Join the Abbotsford Youth Commission’s Youth Council to meet with other youth, discuss issues and take action.
Information & Training

- How to advocate for your rights and needs
Opportunities
- Attend an overnight leadership retreat
- Attend community meetings and share a your youth perspective on specific issues eg. the need for skateboard parks and other recreational opportunities, drugs & alcohol, violence, racism, drop-in centres, emergency youth shelters, and the list goes on and on

- Fill out the Youth Council Application form and set up a time for an interview at the AYC. Applications are also available at the Abbotsford Youth Commission.

Jr. Leadership
Are you a youth in grade 7 or 8? Are you interested in learning leadership skills and planning events for your friends?
Join the Abbotsford Youth Commission’s Junior Leadership program to meet with other youth, plan events and have fun.
