Girls Nite Out
Girls Nite Out is a non-competitive, social recreation program for girls in grade 8, 9 & 10.
The main purpose of Girls Nite Out is to encourage young women to live a healthy, balanced lifestyle through exercise, diet and play.
Other goals of the Girls Nite Out program are to:
- Encourage young women to exercise in a recreational setting.
- Provide health and wellness information to assist in leading a balanced lifestyle.
- Provide a safe non-judging environment for young girls to exercise and explore other recreational activities.
- Provide a place/programs for girls to feel welcome and encouraged in.
Girls
Nite Out will include a fun atmosphere and an opportunity to enjoy sport and physical activity at your own pace and ability. No skill required, just the ability to have a good time playing a variety of fun sports and activities.
How does it work?
During an 8 week session, each girl will be spending time with a group of girls and have the opportunity to try many different activities
including:
- Self Defense
- Tae-Box
- AquaFit
- Weight Training
- Hip Hop Dance
- Nutritious Cooking
- Guest Speakers
- Rock Climbing
- Bowling
When and Where? All girls in grade 8, 9 & 10 are welcome to participate.
Sessions:
Mondays, April 14 - June 9, 2008
at AYC and various local locations
Wednesdays, April 16 - June 11, 2008
at AYC and various local locations
What's the cost?
Program Fee: $32.00 / 8 weeks.
